Bonsall Woman’s Club Gives Back to the Community
Bonsall Woman’s Club has recently distributed more than $11,000 to local non-profits after a
successful year of fundraising.
The following organizations are recipients of BWC charitable donations: Angels of Rawley, Chloe
Sanctuary, Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary, Love Your Feral Felines, Save Pets One at a Time, Fallbrook Music
Society, Fallbrook Center for the Arts, Girls on the Run, Camp Pendleton YMCA, Daniel Ferguson
Memorial Foundation, D’Vine Path, Friends of the Fallbrook Library, Eagle Young Marines, Alabaster Jar
Project, Bonsall Educational Foundation (Art), President’s Project: VB Charter School Child Fund, Burns
Institute “Camp Beyond the Scars,” REINS, Fallbrook Food Pantry, Canine Companions, Fallbrook Senior
Center (meals), Foundation for Senior Care, Bonsall/Fallbrook Little League and Fallbrook Youth
Baseball.
Mary Jo Pfaff, BWC President for the 2022-23 year and chair of the Charitable Donations Committee
this past Spring, said she really enjoyed working with her fellow members to determine which recipients
would receive funds.
“It truly was an honor working with such wonderful, dedicated women, and to be able to support
these very worthwhile organizations. We work hard all year long to be able to back to our community.
It’s really rewarding to hand out all these checks!” Pfaff said.
Recipients are selected annually by the BWC. Donations vary depending on the amount raised during
the year, the need demonstrated or projected by prospective recipients, and the benefit to the
community.
In addition to these donations, BWC supports local students with Student-of-the-Month awards and
scholarships for graduating seniors.
BWC, a 501(c)(3), has served Bonsall and the surrounding area since it was organized in 1980.
Anyone living within the Bonsall community who is interested in learning more about the club or is
