Who's your Hero?

 "Hero" means something different to every person. A hero could be

someone in the military, a family member, a pet, a friend,

a role model... even a "Superhero" or a heroic act.

Someone or something significant in your life.

Any artistic medium may be submitted that will create a

"hero" themed work of art.

CATEGORIES

2-Dimensional & Photography

SPONSOR AWARDS - 2-D CATEGORY

1st Place - $300

2nd Place - $200

3rd Place - $100 

SPONSOR AWARDS - PHOTOGRAPHY CATEGORY

1st Place - $150

2nd Place - $125

3rd Place - $100

ADDITIONAL CASH AWARD

Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce Merit Award $75

PRESENTATION OF ART

Work may be created in any medium, no larger than 24-inches on any side, including frame, and weigh no more than 10 lbs.  Unframed paintings on canvas are required to be finished on all sides

 with no staples showing.

Wire hangers only, with ends wrapped for safety. (Please, no sawtooth hangers.)

ENTRY RULES

Artists may enter up to two (2) pieces. Identify each piece on the back with artists name, contact information,

title and price of artwork.

Artwork must remain in the show through September 29.

Artwork shown in previous shows cannot be entered.

ENTRY FEES

$25.00 for first entry 

$15.00 for second entry

Check or Cash only.   

(Checks made payable to: Art of Avocado Art Competition)

SALES

Will be between the Buyer & Artist

by means of a "Purchase Agreement." Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce 

will not retain a commission on any sale.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORK

Entries must be hand-delivered to the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce office 

on Saturday, August 26

between the hours of 9:30 am -1:00 pm 111 South Main Avenue, Fallbrook

JUDGING

The artwork will be judged by a local member from the artist community. Winners will be announced at a

reception held on September 23.

Awards will be presented at that time.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

May be voted on from September 1 - 20.

IMPORTANT DATES

August 26 - Delivery of entries 

9:30 am - 1:00 pm

September 23 - Reception, 4:00 pm September 30 - Pickup of artwork

 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

The curators reserve the right to decline any entry which does not comply with the contest guidelines, and/or is not appropriate for viewers of all ages.
